With it's bright colored walls, plush cushioned seats, and cozy, cheery, and whimsical interiors, this place is the perfect first date alernative to all those fast food joints or too-fancy restaurants. Every nook at Cafe 1771 gets a thumbs up! You can grab a table for two by the big windows, or take a peek into their "library"---a closed-off dining area with shelves full of books, with more private space for those getting-to-know-you questions.
Far East Movement - Rocketeer ft. Ryan Tedder
ROCKETEER LYRICS
Here we go (Here we go) come with me (come with me)
There's a world out there that we should see
Take my hand (Take my hand), close your eyes (close your eyes)
With you right here, I'm a rocketeer, let's
Fly, fly, fly, fly, fly
Up, up, here we go, go
Up, up, here we go, go.
Let's fly, fly, fly, fly
Up, up, here we go, go
Where we stop nobody knows, knows
Where we go we don't need roads (roads)
Where we stop nobody knows (knows)
To the stars if you really want it,
Got, got a jetpack with your name on it,
Above the clouds in the atmosphere (phere)

I LOVE THE BEATLES

I'm a hard-core BEATLES fan!!!
Who never likes The BEATLES? I bet no one! They are just so good, talk about JOHN LENNON, PAUL McCARTNEY, GEORGE HARRISON and RINGO STARR, they are just so good! There was a time I never slept without listening to one of their songs. My favorite is Paul McCartney, he is just so good-looking and very talented, he plays the guitar, piano and he sings, what more could you ask for? Those smoldering eyes and kissable lips, for me he's not just a singer or part of a insanely addicting band which plays insanely addicting music but total a heartthrob as well. Now he's old but I still like him, it's not about the looks though but their talent of letting the world hear that "when you find yourself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to them singing words of wisdom let it be". I was born to love them and I will also die with their songs playing in my heart. Whenever I sing one of their songs I get LSSed especially the song "I've just seen a face" . My most favorite song of the BEATLES is ALL, believe me I can't choose one 'cause everything is like cool in a way. I wish I lived during their time, I wanna see the whole world crazy, I wanna see the whole world dying to her their songs, I wanna see people feel once in their life happy in just hearing what they want the whole world to hear. I wish I could still meet them in person, or just even say a 'hi' to me but I think that would never happen because John,George and Ringo are dead.
The Fray - Heartless
Heartless Lyrics
[Chorus]
In the night, I hear 'em talk,
the coldest story ever told
Somewhere far along this road, he lost his soul to a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless?
Oh... How could you be so heartless?
[Verse 1]
How could you be so, cold as the winter wind when it breeze, yo
Just remember that you talkin' to me though
You need to watch the way you talkin' to me, yo
I mean after all the things that we've been through
I mean after all the things we got into
Hey yo, I know of some things that you ain't told me
Hey yo, I did some things but that's the old me
And now you wanna get me back and you gon' show me
So you walk around like you don't know me
You got a new friend,I got homies
But in the end it's still so lonely
[Chorus]
In the night, I hear 'em talk,
the coldest story ever told
Somewhere far along this road, he lost his soul to a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless?
Oh... How could you be so heartless?
[Verse 2]
How could you be so Dr. Evil, you bringin' out a side of me that I dont know...
I decided we weren't gon' speak so
Why we up 3 A.M. on the phone
Why does she be so mad at me fo'
Homie I dont know, she's hot and cold
I won't stop, won't mess my groove up
'Cause I already know how this thing go
You run and tell your friends that you're leaving me
They say that they don't see what you see in me
You wait a couple months then you gon' see
You'll never find nobody better than me
[Chorus]
In the night, I hear 'em talk,
the coldest story ever told
Somewhere far along this road, he lost his soul to a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless?
Oh... How could you be so heartless?
[Verse 3]
Talkin', talkin', talkin', talk
Baby let's just knock it off
They don't know what we been through
They don't know 'bout me and you
So I got something new to see
And you just gon' keep hatin' me
And we just gon' be enemies
I know you can't believe
I could just leave it wrong
And you can't make it right
so I'm gon' take off tonight
Into the night....
[Chorus]
In the night, I hear 'em talk,
the coldest story ever told
Somewhere far along this road, he lost his soul to a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless?
Oh... How could you be so heartless?

Keane - Somewhere Only We Know
Somewhere only we know- Keane
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
[break]
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
So if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
So why don't we go
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

Sonnet 100
by William Shakespeare
To speak of that which gives thee all thy might?
Spend'st thou thy fury on some worthless song,
Darkening thy power to lend base subjects light?
Return forgetful Muse, and straight redeem,
In gentle numbers time so idly spent;
Sing to the ear that doth thy lays esteem
And gives thy pen both skill and argument.
Rise, resty Muse, my love's sweet face survey,
If Time have any wrinkle graven there;
If any, be a satire to decay,
And make Time's spoils despised every where.
Give my love fame faster than Time wastes life,
So thou prevent'st his scythe and crooked knife.
In this and the following three sonnets the poet elaborately excuses his silence and the hiatus in the production of his sonnets in praise of the youth, a hiatus which perhaps corresponds to the period of absence commemorated in the previous three sonnets. Whether this silence was a real or imaginary one it is impossible to know. The defence against the charge of failure is a conventional defence, in that it uses the standard figure of the Muse as the source of poetic inspiration. But here the Muse is blamed for having dried up. She has spent her energies in worthless pursuits and is castigated for being devoted to trivialities, being forgetful and slothful. In the following sonnets she is accused of being a truant, neglectful, incapable, and beggarly.

Angels, fallen from the sky
you sunk so low, from so high
evicted from heaven for your crime
now to spend life here, for all of time
all of our world was to you
everything different, all of this new
angels thrown out of the clouds
lost in earth, till you were found
you fly no more
never again to soar
wings just vanished
when you were banished
you used to live
in a place without sins
‘Till your curiosity got too much
sealed it, so as an angel all done
there are people so sweet, so nice
often accused of being an angel in disguise
you might wonder could they be
fallen angels, who just seem like you and me
these angels know nothing about their new home
if they find each other, together but still alone
their peers also exiled, reminds them of what they lost
invincible in kindness, an army that can't be stopped
Fallen angels for high above
doomed to earth to teach about love
maybe, we are all in a way angels to someone in our life
we could all be such, Angels fallen from the sky.

"Don't ever say never"
Tempest
From the present I can see all my mistakes
The perfect way to avoid them keeps playing in my head
And in the present, in the way i'm thinking now
That we could have avoided all we said
Would it have been too hard
Could you have spared me the pain
You could have let me know
Instead you left me with a stain
A stain of all my hopes
Its there for forever
Its a constant reminder
To never say never
Don't ever say never
Proj in Journ....
But God, good, great and absolutely awesome gave me the opportunity to arrange that fated interview through the intervention of my cousin's fined books. My cousin had requested me to return these books which were already fined at 100 pesos already because of his inability to return them on their due date. I said yes, grudgingly of course because it was a really, really hot day. I had not expected that I'd be thanking him profusely later on (that didn't actually happen) because it was on that trip that I had managed to request the very important and delayed interview by speaking directly to the owner of Book Latte herself, Miss Mary Kathryn Jardeleza- Tajanlangit .Three days later my group and I interviewed her in the same place.
On Wednesday, March 8, 2011, we sat down and asked probably the most clichéd questions that interviewers of all time have asked interviewees for ages.
It was a bit awkward at first but Miss Kathryn wasn't fazed by it and made the conversation flow easy. We learned that she's thirty year's old and happily married to Stevie Tajanlangit. One of first questions we asked her was on where she studied and what courses she took. She replied by saying that she attended High School in HIJAS, here in Iloilo. She studied BS Biology in University of the Philippines Miagao but after two years moved to a new course. She took up nursing, in the University of Sydney in Australia. After finishing nursing she took up her master's degree in Biostatistics in the same university. So, now you know that she's not only a businesswoman but also a nurse who has a master's degree in Biostatistics. That's pretty impressive when you think about it and even more impressive when you see it on paper.
To all those who aren't sure on where to go for college she advised us that if you have the chance to go to Manila take it because by going there you'd be exposing yourself to many things, things you might not have been aware of before. Relating to her stay in Australia, she remarked on how she wouldn't have had any of the ideas that have made her successful or any of the other things she has done if she hadn't gone there and experienced things first hand. We agreed that she's right on that one, it's better to experience and expose yourself to new things compared to being stuck in a rut doing the same things every day.
We talked through various subjects, and when my list of prepared questions ran out we asked some of our own (the ones that popped up after hearing her story). It's funny how you're really nervous in one moment and in the next you're as cool as a cucumber, or in our case really talkative between us, then tongue tied when in front of the person you really want to talk to. And Miss Katheryn is a person you'd be comfortable talking to; she has this sunny personality, a humble humor whenever she talks about herself as well as the things she's been through. She's not ostentatious or regal as you'd expect her to be, she's actually really simple. It's with that kind of simplicity that you see the most beautiful aspects of a person, both inside and out. We asked her how she became successful and she answered by saying...
We: What do you think are the reasons for your success?
Miss Katheryn: Keeping God in the center of my life. I think that the reason for my success is because of my spirituality. We must always remember God and pray to him and thank him for all the things we have. To be successful, you have to work hard. No matter how good you are you can't go anywhere by doing nothing and just waiting for things to come to you; you have to get them yourself. Also, always be creative and don't listen to what other people say. If they criticize, tell you things won't work out, etc., don't listen to them, just follow your heart and do the good thing. That's my motto: Follow your heart.
We: If you could go back in time, and meet yourself when you're still in our age (15 yrs. old), what would you say to yourself?
Miss Katheryn: (Thinking) Well, I'll tell myself not to worry. I worried a lot when I was in High School, whether I'd get awards or not, if someone was talking about me, if I'd get high grades, etc. I had to be a good girl because of the nuns, I also had to do extra- curricular activities and other stuff to get to a valedictorian standard. I really worried a lot about things like these. If I could talk to myself at my age then I would have told myself not worry and just have fun. High School is very important stage in your life. It's good to have good grades, you have to have good grades at least, but it's important that you spend your high school years to the fullest. You can't turn back time and visit when you're not busy anymore, you can't stop time either. Value your time in high school, have good grades and have fun because you can't ever experience those moments ever again.
Through the glass doors we could see how darkness had fallen already. The day had come to a close with the last fading lights of the sun coloring the sky. It was time for our interview to come to a close as well. We asked the final question, a question that was fitting because it was about the youth, generally.
We: There are a lot of issues in the world as well as in the country today. What would you tell the youth, with all the problems and issues going on, what would you advise them to do?
Miss Katheryn: I'd advise them to lead a clean and simple life. If your life is boring and unexciting, consider yourself lucky. Stay away from drama and conflict, it'll just distract you. Lastly, always keep God as the center of your life. You won't go wrong by doing this (smile).
We thanked her for sparing some of her time to talk to us and said our goodbyes. After our interview with Miss Katheryn we were pretty overwhelmed. As Assumption girls and as ordinary girls we realized that had a lot in common with her. She also went to an all- girls high school, experienced the pressure of getting good grades, going to college, the risks of doing things her own special way.
As learners who are going to be faced with the prospect of choosing what career to take in less than a year, the world is pretty scary. They say that college is a whole new world where every thing's different. What can you say to that when you know that it's the world you're going to be pushed into even if you don't want to go anywhere near it? It's like walking the plank, in one end it's the ship that you've familiarized yourself with for four years, in the other, it's the big wide ocean where you have no idea what's going to greet you when you fall into it.
High School is the ship, where you meet people from different places all going to some certain location. You make friends and you have a good time. You battle tall waves together, holding on to each other when the winds are strong and choppy. In this journey some may go away earlier, finding their place in some other ship, but the rest of us, we stay together. But all journeys, like stories, have an ending and we are reaching ours. It's something we can't avoid, and when we fall into the ocean it's either you swim or you drown. If you just keep on swimming you might get to an island and things would get better. There would be hard and difficult times, but still, you may be happy. It's a bit depressing, talking about going on separate directions and being apart from your friends, and maybe even your family. But that's the way things are, besides it wouldn't be all bad. Take Miss Katheryn as an example, she's doing great. Fifteen years ago she was in the same circumstances, now she's happy and successful. It may not have been a smooth ride but then again the greatest things in life are never easy to get. Let's put into heart and mind the advice of Miss Katheryn and live our life both in high school, and out, to the fullest, keeping God in the center of our life as well as keeping everything simple.

Strawberry Fields forever:)

Let me take you down,
Living is easy with eyes closed,
No one I think is in my tree,
Always, no sometimes, think it's me,

I want to hold your hand!

I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand.
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand.
Now let me hold your hand,
I wanna hold your hand
And when I touch you i feel happy, inside.
It's such a feeling that my love
I can't hide.
Well you, got that something
I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand.
And when I touch you I feel happy, inside.
It's such a feeling that my love
I can't hide.
